REWARD OFFERED FOR RECOVERY OF MISSING COMPUTER Today, Joseph Persichini, Jr., Acting Assistant Director of the FBI's Washington Field Office made the following announcement: The Unisys Corporation, in cooperation with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and the FBI, is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of a desktop computer reported missing on August 7, 2006. The computer contains personal information regarding veterans treated at VA medical facilities in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. The disappearance of the desktop computer from Unisys Corporate Headquarters in Reston, Virginia is being jointly investigated by the FBI and the VA/OIG with the support of Unisys. At this stage of the investigation, there is no evidence to indicate that the individual or individuals responsible for the disappearance of the computer had any knowledge of the content of the information stored on the computer. Anyone who has information regarding the missing computer is asked
